A series of videos supporting medical professionals in guiding cancer patients through care planning. Illustrator visuals animated in After Effects clearly communicate sensitive, patient centered information.
The goal was to depict realistic scenarios that health workers might encounter while supporting patients at BC Cancer. To ease the delivery of complex and often sensitive topics, the visuals were designed with a soft and warm aesthetic that helps create a calm and approachable learning experience.
Project Workflow
When developing this project, it was essential to balance the simplified, approachable character designs with the need for realistic and readable emotions. This ensured that the weight of advanced care planning came through clearly without losing the warmth of the presentation. All characters were created in Illustrator with these principles in mind, supporting both clarity and empathy in the final animations.
